Thrasher is fortunate to be situated in a neighborhood and on ten gorgeous acres. As we teach the children of our neighbors, we are not bound by the four walls of a classroom. Our “10-Acre Classroom” has a pond, the beginnings of a nature trail, a bridge, a rain garden, a greenhouse, a pavilion, raised garden beds, and a key-hole garden. Try and name a content area that you can’t teach outside!
This year, we are expanding the nature trail system. We hope to have a one-mile loop of nature trail by the end of this year. Soon, we’ll be calling you to help with this! Our Student Councils (of yore) are funding permanently installed outdoor easels. It just gets better and better!
